WHAT WE DO
Cave Puppet Films can create custom performance videos and sizzle reels for you: two incredibly valuable tools for actors trying to audition more. This is perfect for newer actors trying to break into the industry or actors who want to showcase a specific style, character, or genre.
We will write, direct, film, and edit individual scenes, custom-made for you. These scenes emulate the quality and style of projects shooting in the Vancouver area

WHAT IS A PERFORMANCE VIDEO?
A performance video is a short clip that showcases your acting abilities, typically uploaded to a casting website like Actor’s Access. It does not need to be from a role you have booked. It can be a self-tape, something you shot yourself, or a scene created for you by a company like Cave Puppet!
WHAT IS A SIZZLE REEL?
A sizzle reel is about one minute long, fast-paced, flashy, and shows off your look and abilities to casting directors. The footage for a sizzle reel can come from booked roles, but it can also come from other sources...like Cave Puppet!
This is different from a demo reel which combines clips from acting roles you have booked in a single file that is usually two to four minutes long. These clips should come from legitimate productions that you have worked on. While Cave Puppet can’t provide footage for your demo reel, we can help you edit one together.

wHAT MAKES CAVE PUPPET DIFFERENT?
Our goal is to put you, the actor, on display! To that end, we carefully craft each scene to demonstrate your acting strengths, as well as ensuring that the scripts and filming style emulate what you actually see on screen.
Additionally, we focus our filming and editing on you. Not your scene partner. Not fancy cinematography or effect. This is your performance, so we want to show it off as much as possible!

For more than 4 scenes, please contact us using the form above.
These prices include one form of editing—either the final performance videos as individual scenes or cut together (with or without other footage) to create a sizzle reel. If you want more than one edit, there is an additional $150 $100 cost per edit.
There may be minor additional costs, depending on the requirements of your scene(s), but these will be explained to you in advance and will require your approval.
